ELECTION RESULT FOR HENDON CONSTITUENCY

The General Election result is as follows :

Matthew Offord (Conservative) 26,878
David Pinto-Duschinsky (Labour) 22,648
Clarinne Enderby (Lib Dem) 4,628
(Green) 921
Turnout : 66.6%
Swing : 0.8
Increase in majority : 7.7% 4,230 (1072 in 2017)

We congratulate the winner who has increased his majority showing his growing popularity with local residents. The Step Free Access, Town Square and clearing the fly tipping have made him a popular MP who is not afraid to get out and about to solve local problems.  Let's hope over the next 5 years we see improvements to the business rates problem and more affordable homes built in the area.

We remain non political but appreciate the hard work our MPs have done in the recent past.  Hopefully, the very vocal anti internet group who have rubbished our MP and Council daily for several years finally understand that in both the local and national elections the residents of Mill Hill have shown increasing support for the Conservative representatives. In our view it is better to be positive about our area than negative.  Traders and businesses are hurt badly by much if the negative and often untrue postings on Facebook and Twitter.

We now wait 5 years for the next election.
