LABOUR WIN BARNET COUNCIL

For the first time in the Borough's history since it was created in 1964 the council is now run by Labour.    The victory was a total landslide with only a handful of areas returning a Conservative councillor.   Mill Hill was one of these with three Conservative councillors.

The Liberal Democrats lost all their seats and in many cases ended up in fourth place behind the Greens.  In Mill Hill they came third but lost nearly half their vote from 2018.

Labour have said that with the closeness of the result in Mill Hill they will target it in 2026 and hope to target the new Political Constituency which is Mill Hill ( we think it is linked to Chipping Barnet )

We hope that the new council brings back services into Barnet - gets rid of Capita - and starts to improve the shabby state of all areas in the Borough.  The Local park needs a million spending on it as it approaches it's 100 year anniversary in 2024.
