POWER CUT SHUTS SHOPS THIS MORNING | Restored 2pm

At 6am the power to the south side of Broadway was cut. It went off, came back on and then went off again.

The power companies have advised residents and businesses that a cable fault on the junction of Flower Lane and Hartley Ave. Needed repaur which could take up until 2pm.

Shops which are closed include the whole parade from Sacred Heart church to boots. Other roads nearby are also effected.

Stop Press : we can confirm UK Power have restored power to South Broadway at around 2pm much to the delight of local residents who are now probably celebrating with a hot drink!
