Changing High Streets | What do YOU want on Broadway?

It would be easy to be upset as another two banks closed on a Broadway this week. However, banks are boring and we now have three large spaces for new businesses ; Lloyd’s, Nat West and HSBC as well as the Halifax.

We hope eventually they will House some exciting things for all of us. We need a pub which caters for people who want to meet in the evening. Perhaps it could have acoustic music acts and some jazz. However, we hear that the massive rates being charged for these properties on what is a small High Street are astronomical, and have put off most retail and restaurant/bar operators.  Surely it would better for our Council to get some money, rather than no money.

What do people want to see in these locations ?

Let us know on Twitter or Instagram. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to see The False Dots live on Broadway....the street needs some evening entertainment.

  1. There are now two banks left in Mill Hill Broadway. Barclays & Santander.‬ Something has to be done to make sure it does not happen.
