WORLD VILLAGE and MARKET SQUARE | The Friday Feature June 3

We are delighted to feature The Market Square Group and their famous market The World Village Market this week for the first feature in June.  Last week we had a record number of views for our Friday Feature so we are pleased that so many people are reading this weekly piece.

The Market Square Group

The Market Square Group is one of the UK’s leading themed market and events specialists, dedicated to creating new vibrant, sustainable events that capture the imagination of the visiting public.

The company prides itself on delivering high quality events throughout the UK and works with a range of venues including town and city centres, stately homes and green spaces within urban settings.

They  provide innovative and exciting trading environments for traders and stimulating events for the visiting public, blending retail opportunities with fun, ‘education’, entertainment and originality.

The Group told us, " Our hard-earned reputation for expertise, creative thinking and ‘going the extra mile’ ensures we deliver excellence every time from our events. We believe our range of themed markets and community-focused events is second to none and our versatile approach means we can offer a fully bespoke service tailored to meet your ideas and aspirations."

Market Square Group applies individual solutions to each new challenge and is committed to engaging fully with both the local community and events partners.  They are pleased to be coming to Mill Hill and we hope that this will be the first of many visits.

The World Village Market

…is a unique street market with a festival feel featuring exotic world cooking, homemade, healthy and traceable foods together with ethical traded, handmade, eco-friendly arts, crafts, clothing, jewellery, accessories and original ideas.

From Friday 10th June to Sunday 12th June, Mill Hill town centre will be hosting a mini summer festival alongside a World Village Market to help celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. The market will include a selection of delicious street food, arts and crafts, fashion and jewellery. The event will include a programme of music on stage and a craft beer stall on Brockenhurst Gardens, site of the future Pocket Park for the first time ever on Broadway!

Soon to become a brilliant regular feature at Events on Mill Hill Broadway

The market will be located outside Santander bank, and continue up to Mill Hill Wines, with additional street food also on offer on Brockenhurst Gardens.

Mill Hill Markets with Market Square

The World Village Market is part of a calendar of visiting markets for Mill Hill, an initiative organised by Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum and Vibe Market. The markets aim to increase dwell time and footfall for the town centre, and add vibrancy to the high street.

Upcoming events include an Italian Market in July and the return of the French Market in November. Plans are also underway for Christmas festivities in the town centre.

John Gillett, chair of Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum, said: “This is just one of the many initiatives we have for Mill Hill, to improve our Town Centre – do come along and also let us have your ideas for developing Mill Hill.”

Osita Udenson, managing director for Vibe Market, said: “Mill Hill has shown its support for visiting markets with the success of the French Market, and we are excited to now bring the World Village Market and its programme of entertainment to the town centre.”

Three hours of free parking are available on Saturdays and all day Sundays in the Bunns Lane car park (cars must be registered with Pay by Phone) and most side streets are free from 12 noon.
