Thanks for making May the most read month ever on Broadway News.
Today the sun is out and this week sees the start of summer festivities on Broadway. So please come down to shop - have a coffee and then this weekend you can watch the football in the Bridge Inn and attend the World Village Market where you can also have a craft beer and watch live music.
Broadway is trying to give the local population and those from further afield a broader shopping and entertainment offering. Over the next few years there are plans to improve the whole area. These include sorting out the bins on the street - bringing a cinema to the street again - encouraging some flagship family and quality restaurants to take the empty properties - bringing regular markets and music events and finally upgrading the street furniture and creating a Pocket Park next to Boots.
All of these things take time and organisation and the Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum is leading the way with the other community groups and local businesses to create a better town centre for Mill Hill here on Broadway. The best thing we can all do is use the shops and restaurants as much as we can in order to help the local economy. By doing this we will see changes for the better and we all hope within a few years time the area will see a huge upsurge in both quality and quantity of shops and shoppers.
Have a great week and come to Broadway ! Please keep news coming in about projects - events - and offers. We will pass them on.
